1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GrannySafe website (grannysafe.io), Chrome extension, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GrannySafe ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing the extension, creating an account, or subscribing to a paid plan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.

2. Description of Service

GrannySafe is an AI-powered Chrome browser extension designed to help protect users — particularly elderly users — from online scams, phishing attempts, and fraudulent websites. The Service analyzes web pages in real time and provides risk assessments, warnings, and blocking capabilities.

Key aspects of the Service include:

• Automated analysis of web pages for scam indicators
• Visual warnings and risk scores for potentially dangerous websites
• Optional maximum protection mode for enhanced blocking
• Statistics and reporting on detected threats

Important: GrannySafe uses artificial intelligence and heuristic analysis to detect potential scams. While we strive for the highest possible accuracy, no automated system can guarantee the detection of every scam or threat. The Service is a tool to assist with online safety, not a replacement for personal vigilance and sound judgment.

3. Subscription and Pricing

GrannySafe offers the following subscription plans:

• Monthly Plan: $9.99 per month
• Annual Plan: $99.00 per year (equivalent to $8.25/month)

Both plans include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until the end of the period you have already paid for.

4. Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions. If you are unsatisfied with the Service for any reason within 30 days of your first payment, contact us at support@grannysafe.io for a full refund. This guarantee applies once per customer and only to the first payment made after the free trial period.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• GrannySafe and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or financial losses resulting from scams, fraud, or phishing attacks.
• Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
• The Service is provided as a supplementary safety tool. We do not guarantee that the Service will detect, prevent, or block all scams, phishing attempts, malware, or other online threats.

You acknowledge that no scam detection technology is infallible. GrannySafe provides best-effort, AI-powered analysis, but cannot guarantee complete protection against all forms of online fraud. You remain responsible for exercising caution when browsing the internet, sharing personal information, or making financial transactions online.

6. No Warranty

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will detect all scams, phishing attempts, or fraudulent websites
• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results or risk assessments provided by the Service will be accurate or reliable in all cases
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected within a specific timeframe

7. User Responsibilities

As a user of GrannySafe, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Use the Service only for its intended purpose of personal online safety
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or its underlying algorithms
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Not interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Not resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent

You understand that GrannySafe is a supplementary tool and does not replace the need for personal awareness and caution online. You remain solely responsible for your own online safety decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to the software, algorithms, designs, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks — are the exclusive property of GrannySafe and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or abusive use of the Service
• Failure to pay subscription fees
• Conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to other users or to our business

You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and uninstalling the extension. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We are not obligated to retain any data associated with your account after termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or through the extension. Your continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
